I really don't want a promotion. I feel like I have a good balance of work vs rest of life and I don't want to feel like "oh I have to step up work for the promotion"
Right now I have just passively resisted padding out the PDQ to give them justification but I think I need to put my game face on and tell them thanks but no thanks, I am not interested in messing up the balance in my life.
Its a pity I can't give them a good telling off for trying to start all this behind my back but I do need to be more diplomatic than that.
