todays oxymoron: Climate Change

Sticking Change after the word Climate to me implies that planet earth had a stable climate that is now changing. and in fact I'm pretty sure that is the desired response, they want people to go "OMG the climate is changing --Oh Noes, the government must do something about that", -- at least fund scientists to study it (we need to keep our jobs LOL)

But seriously it makes the climate/atmospheric scientists sound like they don't know that the earths climate has been in state of flux for the 4-5 billion years the planet has existed. These educated people that think themselves intelligent mock the creationist folks for thinking the earth was created in 6 days about 10K years ago while at the same time they manage to imply that earth's climate was quite stable around the values of the 1960-70's. HELLO --ever heard of the ice age? (which is just the most recent one) for that matter, are you completely ignorant of the Roman warm period, medieval warm period, Little Ice Age (which was no ice age but dumped enough ice on Greenland to force the Vikings to abandon their settlements.

IMO the creationists need to go 6 'days' for God, not 6 current earth days, and the tiny segment that tries to grasp at scientific straws that earth might be as young as 10K or whatever # they get from counting generations are hurting, not helping Christian belief but thats another rant.
